For years, Jews all over the world have been inspired and enlightened by the beautiful stories and profound ideas of Rabbi Shalom Schwadron, the Maggid of Yerushalaim. Even after his unfortunate passing, we have enjoyed his exciting stories, as they continue to live on through the voice of his famous disciple, Rabbi Paysach Krohn.
Now, for the very first time in English, we will be treated to a collection of stories --not only those that he told, but those that are told about him, those that reveal his very essence. These stories, originally compiled in Hebrew by his grandson, Rabbi Yaakov Aryeh Ariel, describe Rabbi Schwadron’s painful youth, his personal relationships with talmidim, and the uncompromising love ofTorah that he embodied.
Through this anecdotal biography, Voice of Truth, we can understand what contributed to the Maggid’s ability to inspire the multitudes of people that he still continues to affect– years after his death.
